Default Introduction

Hello all. My name is kevin, Ive been a lurker here for at least a year, absorbing knowledge until now when the spigot was shut off for me, so i figgered I would jump in official like.
I live outside Chicago but work primarily in the hood's of Chicago (South west and westsides)
I am a novice tin basher/painter with alot of gear for a novice.
I right now work for a telco for the last 10 years. Prior to that I worked a railroad job for 10 years. I am a licensed electrician, but not practicing in that field right now, just keep my license current to keep avenues open.
Ive played around with metal and painting for about 24 years as a hobby.
I dont know what happened (the internet?), but didnt seem as recent as 12 years ago that there was much interest in fine metalworking, i.e., bringing some damaged old tin back to life. Glad to see that seems to have changed.
Nonetheless, i look forward to joining this group of metalmen.
Regards, Kevin.
