Default Another new member from down under.

Hi there everyone.
A little about me.
My name is David, I am on a few car forums and known in all of them as Boxhead (A name my father inlaw gave me).
I live in a country towm called Alice Springs, in the Northern Territory in Australia (very close to the exact centre of Australia)

I am a qualified motor mechanic by trade but have always had a love or fascination with body building, Life has gotten me to the stage where I have now been able to afford to buy some tools and have a go at metal work.
To that end I have built my new work shed, and bought some tools, these include an English wheel, shrinker stretcher, plannishing hammer, 4 ft pan brake, sand blaster, sand blast cabinet, AC/DC high frequency TIG and a plasma cutter.
I do also have the smaller "normal" hand tools, but would like to get better quality hammer and dollie sets and sand bag/hammer set.
I have some smaller projects I would like to have a go at before later attempting a complete car body (Daytona Cobra)

Here are my new toys (forgive me if I sound like a proud Dad).

Where the fun times should happen.

First project will be to make some small guard protectors in alloy for the leading edge on my Cobra.

Then later hope to turn this.

Side view.

Into something like either of these.

The hawk was a freeby that was destined for the tip, so no harm if I try and fail.

So now it is time to learn.

Welcome to the site David from another David. You have quite a collection of tools there for a beginer!. Your workshop is nice! It looks bigger than mine and I have to earn my living from my little space with two of us working in there. Thats the trouble with living in on a little island like the UK.

David
