Default Random guy from Chicago

Hello All, names Art. Originally from Chicago but now I live in the western suburbs of Chicago. I've been into custom trucks/cars for the past 14 years. Have worked on a ton of frames and suspensions, mostly air ride. I also have done a ton of woodworking and carving. I decided a few years ago that I wanted to do more metal work by hand (mostly because I couldn't afford the machines). A good friend of mine who's many moons older than I that started me down the path of metal forming by hand and once I started, I was hooked.... but a few years later my father was diagnosed with Cancer and then passed away. Because of his illness, my hobbies were put on the back burner... Now it has been three years and I've decided to get back into it. Mainly because a week or two ago in the middle of the night, out of nowhere I had an explosion of ideas in my head. They haven't stopped since. I think about it all day, everyday. I have so many ideas and I need to get them out of my head!!!

SO, I hope to learn a ton from this forum as far as techniques, tools to use, and general knowledge of metal working. I can't wait to get back into this!!!
