As a brief intro, I have recently retired and now hope to have a lot more time to do metal working as a hobby. My main interest is metal working as it applies to automotible bodies. My immediate goal is to reaquaint myself with the basics and aquire some additional tooling. I look forward to discussion with the group members and scanning the albums and old posts. Chuck L

Welcome to AllMetalShaping Chuck. Are you the 'CoupeChuck' that built the Cobra Daytona Coupe that has caused so many metal shapers to lay awake at night drooling....?

Kerry,

Yes, I am the crazy that built the Daytona Cobra coupe. I've got about 7,500 "test" miles on the car to date. Still a few things to finalize, but I've been having such a good time driving, I've been hard pressed to get back to working on it. Now that I've retired, I hope to have a little more time to focus on metal work.

Chuck

I gotta tell you Chuck, much of what I've become in the metal shaping world is all your fault

I was really, really blown away by the original web site you had on AOL way back when. It inspired and motivated me and...well...here I am.

I hope you'll post some content and photos....we LIKE photos.

I wouldn't be surprised if tens of thousands of views on your old AOL website were from posters/enthusiasts on this forum! Great project by the way.

All,

Attahced is a photo of the coupe from a trip to Northern California last fall. Believe it or not, this was a camping trip and I had my sleeping bag and tent in the back of the car.

I look forward to chatting with you all.
