Hi! I´m Eyfi and I am from Iceland. I have a ´85 Kawasaki GPz that I use for my 60 km commute to work and it doubles as my psychotherapist.
Yesterday my brother gave me some Kawasaki stuff that he had to get rid of; a Z650 frame, SR650 tank, KZ750 wheels etc. So, naturally, my mind is racing as I try to envision something cool. Now I only need some two cylinder motor. The only experience I have is from working on my GPz, fixing stuff as it breaks so that I can keep on riding. I stumbled upon this forum in search of basic sheet metal fabrication information as I would like to make the fenders, and whatever I can think of, myself. Apart from this I am a geologist, am interested in photography, taekwondo and knife forging. The knife thing is probably more in the long run (to do when I´m 80), as the the last time I tried it the whole thing melted...

Welcome Eyfi,
Blacksmithing and Metal Shaping share some of the same principles. Mistakes like melting the entire piece is one way to learn.... You have found a good place to learn here. I understand about the Motorcycle Therapist... I have a few motorcycles myself and there's noting else like it to clear your mind.
