Hello everybody. My name is Torbjorn and I'm from the south of Sweden close to Joenkoeping. All my life (I'm +50) I have been working with metal in some form, in the begining of my working path I worked as a tool maker. The tools was mainly stamping and forming tools for making parts to the car industry. After some years I began to work as a service technician with installation and maintenance of eccentric presses, press brakes, shears, roll forming, saws and laser cutting machines. For a couple of years ago I started a new work as a purchaser for production equipment.
In my spare time I have restoration of cars as interest. For the moment I'm restoring a Volvo P1800 E -72, this one of the last coupe's made before they ended the production in -72. These cars is known to be corroded already when they left the factory, well the later cars isn't so bad. However the rust never sleeps. My goal is to make all patches my self, there's a lot of patches/panels to buy but why make it easy. I rather make a panel and throw it into the scrap because then I probably learn something at the same time, or learn how not to do. Greate forum, a lot of knowledge available. Kind regards
