Hi from Portland

My name is Steve and I live in sunny Portland, Oregon. I got interested in metal shaping when my wife suggested I find a hobby that I can do in our back yard.
I started with a mig welder, then have dabbled with oxyacetylene and tig welders. After the requisite welding table, I've been making sculptures with wire frame armatures and 22 g sheet metal. My set up isnt so good (compound curves especially!) so I'm looking forward to learning how to shrink and stretch sheet metal by hand.
