Default greetings!

Greetings all, up for consideration in the forum. Looking to advance my skill set, in particular aluminum panel fabrication for which I have little to no experience at. I own a restoration business here in mass, looking for a new spark to motivate me through the next decade or so, returning some what to my roots which was coach building Morgan sports cars back in the early 80’s. I was researching body bucks and bumped into you guys just the few threads I read already have me stoked to get going! I have a project in mind making a fast back body for a Austin-Healey in aluminum similar to the masters at Williams & Pritchard coach builders, in England back in the 60’s and the Peel Coach Works Co. Also to finally get off my ass and visit and learn from local legend masters Wray Schelin and Fay Butler, something I’ve been promising to treat myself to for many years!
Anyways let me in will ya!, nobody else will have me!

Hello Dan, welcome to allmetalshaping. I have several threads on here showing aluminium coachbuilding. In my opinion. Being able to gas weld the aluminium is key. I show some of the process on my youtube footage. Here are some links to some threads showing aluminium coachbuilding.

thanks dave, i had bumped into one of your threads earlier in the day and was admiring your work on that lancia absolutly stunning. i will have a archer body in glass coming in for a A/H sprite conversion based on the peels aluminum fast back. its this project that has sparked me into trying to duplicate in aluminum like original. after viewing your tools page and seeing your measuring bridge it has me thinking in terms of measuring for a body buck (as soon as i figure out how its done !) thank you for the links
