Hi just stumbled on this forum looking for ideas in building a small planishing hammer for scale work. Hope at some point I will be able to add something constructive to this site.

You might be interested in this thread regarding a small reciprocating machine/planisher: http://www.allmetalshaping.com/showthread.php?t=2494 Also Ken Burt (KenB) does a lot of scale work and has adapted many of our traditional tools to work in small scale.

Don, welcome, thanks for joining us. Working with scaled models is a lot of fun. Had a friend that made a good living building models and repairing them.
