Just a girl
Whats up ya'll! My name is teresa and I am a metal maniac.
That feels good to finally admit it!!! I first got hooked on metal when i was 17. Thats when i started going to school to become a welder. Now I'm a TIG and FCAW certified welder that has worked in shipyards and production shops. I love metal. Welding, metal forming, metal spinning, metal fabrication, etc. I just can't seem to get enough of it. Trying to setup a little workshop in my garage just for basically teaching myself and having fun for now. I got a planishing hammer but i got no air. Just made my own oak mallet head and the next project is making post dollies and post stand.

Welcome aboard, Teresa! As Ben said, no such thing as just a girl - no rules of thumb around here and we'll even let you drive late at night (from one of my favorite No Doubt songs
 ). The planishing hammer will come in handy, but, really, all it does is save time once you get to that point.......everything can be done by hand and a bit of practice and experience with the handwork will help you understand just what the machine is doing and maybe make a bit more clear what the machine needs to be doing.

i'm in the tacompton area........... yeah i'm discovering that there are a lot of awesome metal, car, paint, and pinstripers here in washington.......... which is way cool.......... Thanks for the warm welcome.....i feel all fuzzy inside now!!!! I'm gonna be on this board for days!!!! There is a ton of cool stuff on here.....
