Default Hi from Newfoundland Canada

Bob here from St. John’s Newfoundland (ex-Gander). I've been working on cars (mostly VWs) for as long as I can remember, got my interest from my dad, who it seemed could do anything. He was a school board administrator by day, and I currently work in international trade, so this is very much a hobby, and it seems dirty nails at the office runs in our family . I’ve currently got a few car projects which will require some metal skills that I know I don’t have…hence my being here. ]I found you guys from someone on the UK Karmann Ghia forum, he told me to check this site out and I’m pretty happy to be here, looks like it’s going to be a great resource! I’m hoping to start working on a 1966 Ghia within the next year or so, and I’m sure I’ll be checking in here to lurk and ask questions from here on in.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Soooo much info here. I've been looking at the basics, and I guess I'll start by finding a decent sized stump to hollow out.

Cheers,
Bob

some past comments were made about a dumb bell weight set in the tool box. any weight might work for that special place or be made from most any thing, look with new eyes.

welcome to the group
