Default Greetings from central PA

My name is Mark Woodland, currently living in central Pennsylvania.
I found your site after talking to a friend I used to work with, Cass Nawrocki.
I was reading the latest issue of Hot Rod and saw all these references to Cass Nawrocki and I thought, Jeeze, this guy's amazing, and the only guy I know that good is Cass Navroski.. I don't know Polish, but by sounding it out phonetically (oK, the W is pronounced V, the C must be pronounced S..) I thought there can only be one Cass.
Cass was the Master of all Metal at a place I worked at in the '70s, in Phoenix.
They hired me as the mechanic, and the stuff Cass was doing was completely mind blowing. Over time, they started to give me little fab projects, like fire up the Yoder hammer and make a gas door for the XK 120.. Then fabricate a trunk floor for said XK 120. I had a disagreement with the owner of the place and moved on to a VW/ Porsche shop in Phoenix, and on to San Diego where I had a restoration shop in the late 70s.
I returned to PA in the 80s, and have been in IT ever since, doing restorations on the side ever since. Thinking about retiring from IT and going back into fabrication and restoration full time. Just tracked down Cass who told me about this site. I look forward to the wealth of information on the site, as well as getting a copy of Cass' second printing.
Kind regards,
Mark

Welcome Mark. There are many people on this forum who would give a lot to spend time working with Cass. You were very lucky! Welcome, and thanks for sharing that story.

Welcome to the forum.
Working on Jags and Porsches, sounds like great experience.
Lots of information and techniques to be gained here.

Dave
