Hi guys. Mark from Oceanside CA. I'm retiring soon from state government and have always been involved in motorsports. I autocrossed for a while (campaigned a 1970 240Z and a 1988 Chrysler Conquest TSI special edition), I've worked for a road race team (campaigned a 1995 Corvette) and spent 5 years as a pit crew member for a local AMA/AFM motorcycle racing team. Those were my hobbies. I've always been fascinated with the fabrication process of automobiles. I own a 1970 Pontiac Firebird that is a Trans Am clone. I've loved the Trans Am since my youth and have owned this one since 1997. Now that I'm retiring, I want to build the car to my specifications-----basically the performance and comfort of a modern sports car (2015 Corvette) with the looks of a 70 Trans Am. I'm planning on going to school to learn some of the rudimentary things that I haven't picked up over the years especially involving metal fabrication. I joined this site to start and continue my education process.
I probably won't add much, but I'll sure as hell soak up tons of information. Thanks for helping Mark
