I'm 53 years of age, married and a complete novice at metal shaping. I've wanted to do this for about the last 10 years, however kids and commitments meant something had to take backseat. About two years ago I went to evening classes and learnt to gas weld. I got level 2 which I think means I learnt the basics, although I was quite pleased to learn that I was the 1st student they had to pass level 2 on gas part time. At the moment I'm building a 20 ft (2nd) shed to work in and I have just got running a 50 year old colchester lathe, which I've had laid up for years, so there's another skill Ive got to learn. I would love to kit my Moto Guzzi with a nice shiny alloy tank and side panels but it seems going to be a while before I get there. In the meantime I hope to have a lot of fun and not too many frustrations on the way. Andy

Welcome to the forum Andy, plenty to learn here. You can never have too many sheds or too much work space. Or too many tools
