My name is John, my friends call me Mav. I have a 1948 Ford Anglia that I have to make a roof panel and trunk lid for. I have an Harbor Freight English wheel that is new in the box and I will be making modifications to it. I have TIG and MIG welders, lathe, vertical mill, 36" sheet metal brake, bead roller, 20 ton press. I have been doing chassis work for over 30 years. I am here to learn the area I am the most deficient in, panel fabrication. All help is greatly appreciated.

Hi John, Welcome! Lots of great people making many interesting things here! Everyday I am amazed at the talent and expertise! I hope that you will share your knowledge on chassis for guys like me, who are newer. Generally, aspects of metal projects that are not metal shaping in themselves are also welcome to be posted, i.e. how to make wood forms, chassis building as part of building a car, etc. I am sure you have a lot of experience with many facets of car building, so your experience is welcomed. Tips and tricks are needed too, because I make lots of scrap metal from perfectly good sheets! haha
