Default Hello from Italy

Hi everybody,

i'm Riccardo and i write from Venice (Venezia) Italy and i'm very happy to found this nice forum.
I'm currently restoring an 1958 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider and i'm sure i will get lots of tips and support here!
This Alfa is one of the reason why i was looking for a website like this, but i also like to see how the people are able to create any metal shape, often with just simple hand tools!

Ciao!

Hello Riccardo, welcome to the site. For around twenty years on and off I have taught evening class students as a lecturer at college and the thing I have found is that people dont have a workshop full of machines and equipment. It is possible to make almost anything with just a few hand tools and in fact it is best to learn how to make things by hand before getting involved with machines because you can get a feel for how the metal moves.

Hi David,

i agree! i saw that in your DVD that i bought about 2 weeks ago!

is not so easy to understand everything because i'm Italian and i don't know all the technical words, so i'm watching it more times, but i believe the most important is to try and retry in order to improve our abilities!
