Default New here from Arizona

Hi,

I'm Mike. I'm 33 years old and live in Yuma, AZ. I got into old bicycles when I was a kid, and ever since I could drive I have been messing around with old cars. That led me into wanting to build cars, which led me to wanting to know how to work with metal.

I work at a local college, and as a perk of my job get free tuition. I have started to take welding classes. I have taken a TIG class, and right now I am taking MIG and welded sculpture classes.

My current project is a 1929 desoto, turned hot rod. The body is a cut down 4 door sedan, made into a bucket style car. It's going to be similar to what they call a lakes modified. A good friend of mine who is a fabricator has been helping me. I hope as my skills progress I can do more and more of the fabrication on my own.

Anyways, I hope to be able to learn some things on this site and maybe contribute one day as well. Thanks for having me.

Welcome Mike,
Reading your introduction was pretty cool. My name is mike, and I to am 33, I was into restoring bikes when I was younger and that led to old cars. One of my projects is a 1929 dodge 4 door that at one point had been modified into a pick-up. I know that were all into metal and cars here but I found it to be pretty cool. Again, welcome to the site.
Mike
