Default New Guy from Colorado

Hey guys,

24 years old here and I'm pretty much just a hobbyist welder, fabricator, artist, tinkerer or whatever you want to call it. I learned almost everything I know about metal through 4 years of high school metal shop, or by experimenting on my own. I'm always looking to learn more.

I Grew up in Colorado, and I just recently finished up 4 years in the Army. My old shop teacher wanted to bust my head in after he found out I was going to join, and he was probably justified too.

Anyways, I'm off to school this fall, and right now I have no job. I'd rater build stuff and ride motorcycles for a few months before life starts again.

Here is pic of one of my projects, I built this for my senior metals project in school. My mother told me to make a lamp that looked like a palm tree. I ran with it.

And this is my current project, uh, I mean moneypit...

Glad to be here, looks like a great site!

That's one cool Lamp! These guys are great and helpful all the time.
It's improved my metal work in just a short time.
Welcome, Gerry
