Default New in Huntsville, AL

Hello,

New guy here in Huntsville. Been interested in hand making motorcycle or car parts from metal since all those silly biker shows started coming on tv years ago. Now I'm building a flat track motorcycle and am scared to death to run a fiberglass tank because of the ethanol problems. So I'm seriously thinking about (at least attempting to) make my own.

I met a lady who works with copper at Lowe Mill and she pointed me in this direction and told me there are some classes held here that might get me going. Anything I can pickup off this sight will be a huge help!

Thanks - Robert

Welcome to AllMetalShaping Robert. That lady would have been Coppretta...aka Barb Lawrence. I'll be doing a MetalShaping 101 seminar at Lowe Mill sometime next month. Barb is co-ordinating things. We also have a week long event in October at our shop just north of town.

You are a lucky man, Robert.

Welcome to the forum Robert. You are in a great position to be able to be in the same neighborhood as both Kerry and Barb. Much talent there. Be sure to attend Kerry's seminar, and ask lots of questions of both Kerry and Barb.
