Default Newbie from the UK

Heya guys,

My names Pete, and ive just fallen across your forum whilst researching english wheels and other such metalworking tools!

I live in Poole, Dorset in the UK, and spend the vast majority of my spare time playing with rusty old cars! Currently front and center on the project front is a 1968 morris oxford estate which is nearly done, after this, the mini (1976) is next, then the splitscreen vw (1967). To be honest, panels for all of these are pretty available and reasonably priced, but in the last year or so ive been trying to make a fair proportion of them myself, mostly because i can really, although on a few occasions weve found rust in some really odd places which has necessitated me making bits!

I do the majority of my car work with my father, and we try and do at least a couple of evenings a week to keep things going forward. He's not really much of a metalwork guy (far more into the mechanics) although he certainly shares a fair bit of my enthusiasm!

Hoping to hang around here a bit, and mostly watch and learn, although of course ill chime in if i can!!

Cheers,

Pete

Hello Peter, welcome to the forum from another Brit. By the way its a 'wheeling machine' or 'wheel' in the UK. not an 'English Wheel'

Welcome to the forum, Pete

Sounds like you've got quite a collection of vehicles there!
