I'm Mike from Geneva IL. I picked up a '64 BMW 1800Ti from a barn in Wisconsin a while back and I'm in the midst of repairing all the rust from years of sitting and a poorly executed battery relocation. I'm looking forward to diving in and learning all I can about metal work and the restoration process.

Hi Mike,
Welcome to the forum! I too have a barn find, '80 320i. Floors rusted out front and back, rockers both inner and outer rusted almost 100 %. Moved the battery to right rear of trunk to make way for a cold air inlet behind left headlight. Both fuel line and brake lines, leaking and replaced. You will have fun restoring yours, I hope.
