Default Benjamin K: New member!

Hello!
My name is Ben and I live in Northern California. I am new to metal shaping but have an extensive background in welding. I just finished my associates in Mechanical Engineering at Sierra College and am transferring to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo this Fall Quarter. I have a keen fascination for objects that are made of metal and even more so if they have moving parts. Ever since I was little I have always wanted an anvil! I am in the middle of an automotive project right now and am making pretty good progress on it this summer. It is a 1975 Chevy Luv, where drivetrain and aesthetic modifications are in progress. Obtaining knowledge first hand is the best way in my mind and forums seem to be the best place to acquire it in my own time. I found this forum after doing some research on how to make a replacement passenger floor board due to rust damage. Even with slight exploration of this forum I see that it was a good choice to register. Especially the Bel Air project in the Automotive Section!
Progress:
