Default Hello from sunny AZ

Hello,
My name is Bob, living in sunny AZ. Currently retired engineer that works part time as a helicopter pilot. (Need one, please contact me). I'm also a certified FAA mechanic. I've built several small aircraft and currently fly a RV4.
I would like to join your forum to learn new skills and get out of the house and off the couch! Thanks for your time. Bob

Welcome Bob!

Time to start building another airplane! Need a new challenge, grab a torch and look at the Bearhawk Patrol. I'm building a Bearhawk four place, but with kids in college it is on the back burner.

Goal is for my plane to remain 'state of the art in 1940' so no fiberglass, only aluminum.

I was in Chandler last week, never had time to make it to Garcia's. Darn.

Default Fabric planes

Hi Tom,
I can also do fabric! I covered a 75% scale Storch in Stewart's system, look into it, all water based, no nasty smell. I covered all the control surfaces in the kitchen during the summer. Nice to work in 80' inside instead of 115' outside.
I went to flight school at Ft Walters mineral well, any relation?
