So, I'm 62 yrs old, and working on a 51 Merc M1. was my dad's, and i learned to drive in it. I find now I really like working with the sheet metal. i have done some of the flat stuff on the box, haven't tried any curved stuff yet. The cab was done professionally, and looks great. Look forward to learning a lot.

Doug, I'm in Cowichan Bay, Vancouver Island, B.C.
As a retired dairy farmer, I have no cows, but lots of space for metal parts (my wife has another name for this, but i won't go there). All the barns have very useful parts for future projects. For repair of the box sides of my F1, I scavenged metal from an old forage blower and a forage harvester. Never, Never, Throw Something Away! |
