Default Introduction

Greetings Fellow Forum Members,

My name is AJ, I live in the Central Valley of California.

I have a deep interest in metal shaping, and my curiosity about functional objects is what led me to pursue a B.S.M.E. which I fulfilled this last spring. Although money is tight right now as I am looking for a job, I always want to broaden my horizons.

I TIG and MIG weld, and will likely be able to learn Stick soon, as I have a bit more time to practice now. I do need to learn how to braze also.As far as my welding skills I'm entirely self taught, I bought my first welder when I was 15 from Harbor Freight after watching my grandfather weld for years and wanting to learn myself and as such there is always more that I can learn.

My interests include fabrication, machining, and design. That being said other skills I hope to pick up from this forum might be to be able to gain more insight into metal shaping techniques.

I hope that I can develop more friendships, offer kind bits of advice at times when my knowledge base is applicable, and to provide friendly bits of encouragement to individuals who like myself need a friendly push as they are in pursuit of bringing a conceived idea to fruition.

Respectfully,

-AJ
