Default Hello from the English (Student at McPherson College)

Hello fellow, metal shapers/artisans. My name is Simon, from Rutland, England. I am currently in my last year studying a four year degree in Automotive Restoration at McPherson College, Kansas. Where thanks to an enthusiastic metals teacher, I have been able to pursue my every growing passion for panel beating/metal shaping. Following the completion of my degree, I hope to find work in the panel beating/metal shaping industry. I have made a broad range of items, and I endeavor to post pictures in due course. Currently i am working on making a foam buck of a Ferrari 750 Monza, once i have completed the shaping of the buck I plan to slice sections from it and make wooden stations, which i will use to mirror the other side. Following this i will form and shape aluminium over the buck and have a completed body. The overall size will be 7x3.5ft. I look forward to reading and gathering inspiration from fellow members of the site.

Regards,

Simon

Welcome Simon, Your project sounds great! I can't wait to see some pics of your work as well. I wish there was a "McPherson" type college in CA. with a restoration program I'd be enrolled as well. Good luck with your project and keep us posted.
