Default Hello from the peoples republic of Yorkshire :-)

Hello everyone,

I am Mikey and i am into restoring cars and all types of metal shaping. I am a tutor at college in Leeds and live in Huddersfield West Yorks. I teach vehicle body repair and it takes up a lot of my time, this along with my family time doesn't give me as much time in the garage as i'd like but i cope.
I've got a Fiat X19 on the go at the moment and also a loooonnnnggg term Mini project that will hopefully move on this year. (we'll see!)

I wanted to join this forum to get some inspiration from other like minded people out there.

All the best and i look forward to being part of the forum.

Mikey

Hi Mikey,

Welcome to the forum, are you at the Leeds college where the restoration course is?, I see a guy at the NEC teaching Ali welding old style... Andy Cassick, he's on YouTube doing a Swallow body in Ali, very interesting if you can connect it all together.

Also seen all these on you tube - what skill! And he's inspired me to have a go myself rather than me getting someone else to do it as I have in the past..
