Default Greetings

Hello, im Bryan just surfing around the many Diy blogs out there and learning all i can about building things. I'm a Machine designer though still a bit new in that as well. currently building a cnc router at home to make trinkets and plaques on. mostly its to help fund my other projects. i have two kids a 5 yo boy and a 3 mo girl. just getting to the point of wanting to start my first real father son project. Ive decided im interested in building a mostly scratch built dune buggy. been doing lots of research and am currently honing in the design i want. the frame and most of the suspension will be scratch built while the electrical, drive train, hubs and shocks will be scavenged from a donor. so this will be quite the under taking. i am hoping that between what i know and the help i can get from my father, who is a welder fabricator by trade, and what i can glean from the folks and websites like this and Locostusa.com and minbuggy.net, i should be able to pull this off. all the while having an awesome time bonding with my son and building an awesome buggy.
