Default Adam in Dallas, TX

Hey gang,

My name is Adam, I live in Dallas Texas, although I've lived all over the US and Canada, and sort of grew up in Seattle Washington. I'm almost 50 years old, and I'm semi retired. Most of my life I've worked in sales, and my business is an online training business. I have four daughters, ages nine, 15, 17, and 18.

I have been tinkering with cars and motorcycles and various motorized things almost my entire life. Forever jamming some motor that is not supposed to fit into some vehicle that is not supposed to go that fast. Now that I have a lot of time on my hands, I'm trying to figure out how to learn some of the skills that I've always wanted to have. In particular, I'm interested in learning how to shape metal into vehicle parts. For instance, at the moment I have a 1973 Yamaha. It has a fiberglass tank. I want a similar style tank, but larger capacity, and in aluminum. Polished. I know exactly what I want in my head, but do not have the skills to make it. I am looking at the various ways that I can learn things locally and online. I heard about this for him by calling around to various schools, and I found a school (Edgefield?)that had a hot rod building class that is being discontinued. The gentleman there, I believe his name is Larry, told me about this forum.

I'm excited to see what work y'all are doing, and to learn and to join in!
