New guy looking to improve his metal working skills

Hey everyone.

I'm a regular guy in his fifties who has been wrenching & welding on cars in his garage all his life. I'm here looking for helpful info that will allow me to fabricate some new tools (I can't afford a real cast iron english wheel, for example) and to improve my skills.

I look forward to learning from you all, and will contribute when I can.
