Default New Guy from Ireland

Hi,
I am a recently qualified electronic engineer from Drogheda, Ireland, I was a house painter for 25 years, but had to change careers after a work accident . My latest hobby is building small, gauge 1 live steam loco,s. I am still learning to build basic simple locos, but I hope to build a more challenging loco next year. I hope this will be an LNER W Class 10000 "Hush Hush".

This loco has a complex curved body shape that will be a challenge to recreate. So I thought I would try to learn some new metal shaping skills , today was the first time I ever saw a real metal shaping video. I was so impressed I thought I would try to use some of these techniques to build the "Hush Hush".
I need to get some sheet metal working tools ,I plan to build a small english wheel, find a tree trunk and some hammers and try to beat some brass sheet into shape.
Regards
Mark
