So here it is.
When I was a teen I was exposed to motorcycle street racers tearing up a local Mississauga industrial research park. This was in the mid eighties. I saw a lot of fairings ground down to the size of the original abs pellets that were used to injection mold them. I had to get a bike. First a RZ 350 followed by a RG500. Then others. I went to the bike shows religiously. On one such occasion I saw a polished alloy jellyfish tank for a Norton featherbed. One of the most beautiful things I ever have ever seen. So I end up with a Commando and recently resurrected it. Among the mods I modified a motocross alloy fender to fit the front. I cut it for length and used my late Uncle Herks hammer and dolly to hem over the edge. It's okay. I was an industrial designer for a while in the motorcycle industry and still see my stuff around. I've got a handle on form development but I want to be able to do the practical end of the process instead of just CAD. My son is 13 and is excited to learn what we can together. c
