My name is Acme and my hobby welding shop is in Lansdale, Pennsylvania. I am developing a practice in art welding. I have gone as far as I can in learning the craft of TIG welding and now I am focusing my further training in metal fabrication. One skill area that seems to me to be a foundation for fabrication for metal art is metal shaping. Although I like cars and motorcycles very much, I have no interest in making vehicle body panels.

I have found that it is not difficult to find courses in community colleges and technical schools in welding. It is much more difficult to find technical school courses in metal shaping, even in a four million person metropolitan area like the Philadelphia and its suburbs. Hence I turn to the internet to learn the necessary skills. A brief look at some of the threads in All MetalShaping suggests to me that some metal fab skills may be picked up here.
