Default Hello from a new guy

Hello,

I've been tinkering with mechanical things for years and have long admired the work of guys who can shape metal. I used to think, "I could never do that." But I've made a few parts for some of the projects I'm working on (ok results), and I'd like to learn more about shaping panels so I can do things like make a hump-back seat for my 1974 Honda CB450 and do body repairs on my son's Alfa Spider. I've been impressed watching the skills of guys like Joe Martin on the Iron Resurrection TV show and many guys on youtube. I'm considering buying an English wheel and a shrinker and would benefit from advice from others. I've read a few posts on AllMetalShaping and the members seem quite knowledgeable. I'd like to build my skills to the point where I can make similar contributions.

Thank you,
Nick
