Default Hello from L.I. N.Y.

Hello all. I go by Jay Ess and I am a long time gear-head and have been building and working on cars and motorcycles for over 40 years. My mechanical skills far exceed my metal working skills and I have finally started to move forward acquiring the tools necessary to start metal shaping. I have taken a basic class with Ron Covell as well as with Gene Winfield. That is me "assisting" Gene in my avatar photo. I have been a lurker for years and decided it was finally time to join.

While I own and use metal machining tools, I currently have no metal shaping equipment. I just purchased a used Metalcraft bench top E-wheel coming from SC that I bought from a fellow HAMB Member, and will be looking to add to the equipment as the budget allows. I have no specific projects at this time, but I am interested in learning how to build armor. Don't know what else I can tell you except I look forward to your help and guidance, as well as being able to contribute one day . Thanks, js
