hello, I'm Bob Foster from Joliet, Illinois and I'm looking forward to learning from the rest of you and sharing what I can. My main interest is in auto restoration but I have also worked on street rods as well. I work for Caterpillar Tractor as a machinist (18 years). Like everyone else I'm looking to improve my abilities as a metal shaper. I realized about 4 years ago that I really wanted more than just the basic stump and shot bag if I was going to get serious. I concentrated on finding or building the tools I felt would help me learn faster. My learning curve still has a long way to go but I enjoy every chance I get out in the garage. I will post some pictures as soon as I figure out how.
