Hi, my name is Ed. My metalworking skills at home are of the cutting, drilling, bending in a vice, and welding variety. Usually heavier than sheet metal and thinner than 3/16. If for example I were to patch a rusted out car window channel I'd cut several short pieces of sheet metal bend a right angle on them and use pie cuts to fit the tighter radius corners. I see much room for improvement. I'm currently doing a frame off on a '70 Chevelle and find my skills being challenged again. Mostly because I'm a bit of a tight wad diy'er and think I can save boat loads of money by fabbing my own patches as opposed to buying a large replacement panel and cutting out the section I need. I have learned a lot from the members of Team Chevelle concerning my project and it's one of those members that mentioned Allmetalshaping. I'm here to learn and with some practice I hope to improve my abilities.
