Hi there Smitty from Aurora Colorado. I have been a practicing metal worker pretty much my whole life. Got into it as a little nipper while watching my grandfather work at his forge. My Gpa pretty much fixed anything metal..and I have been hooked my whole life. I have built custom cars,trucks for the last 30 years and due to a forced retirement now build stuff in my garage. With my new freedom I have been doing metal art(if you can call it that) making projects out of car parts or anything metal I can get my hands on.
I remembered this site while welding dinner forks together the other nite and thought this may be the place to hone my skills, get new ideas and hopefully meet like minded people who enjoy the art of metal work!
If anyone has any ideas of where to start looking in here it would be much appreciated! Since this is such a vast knowledge base I feel I could feed the beast for awhile!!! Thanks for having me...Smitty
