Default New here from Arizona

Hi,

I'm Mike. I'm 33 years old and live in Yuma, AZ. I got into old bicycles when I was a kid, and ever since I could drive I have been messing around with old cars. That led me into wanting to build cars, which led me to wanting to know how to work with metal.

I work at a local college, and as a perk of my job get free tuition. I have started to take welding classes. I have taken a TIG class, and right now I am taking MIG and welded sculpture classes.

My current project is a 1929 desoto, turned hot rod. The body is a cut down 4 door sedan, made into a bucket style car. It's going to be similar to what they call a lakes modified. A good friend of mine who is a fabricator has been helping me. I hope as my skills progress I can do more and more of the fabrication on my own.

Anyways, I hope to be able to learn some things on this site and maybe contribute one day as well. Thanks for having me.
