Hi My name is chuck weck, I am interested in metal fabrication, having built a few drag racing vehicles and occasional street vehicle none of which really functioned or looked all that good
I dont know much, remember little and dont seem to retain skills well so it is really important to me to have a resource that I can access to find out how to do stuff within the limits of my small intellect without maiming myself or blowing up my shop I am particularly interested in making things out of metal that dont look like they were cut with a hacksaw or beaten with a sledgehammer, less lumpy work would be better for me, stuff that didnt fall apart on the track would be a big improvement being as I cant weld anything without melting it, operate any tool without dulling or breaking and can barely hold a plier without pinching off a digit Im sure learning anything usefull will be quite the task for me dont even get me started with power tools...they just seem to exacerbate my tendency to drop/jam/stall or lock up more quickly, but i have been able to throw stuff across the shop very effectively with them, often at velocity none of my vehicles can attain and as an added bonus to my fellow members, I have demonstrated some expertise at burning up engine, trans and rear axle parts, often sheetmetal or fiberglass body parts suffer along with the drivetrain...but I dont really care as my expectations of myself are very modest so best of luck with helping me metal shaping regards chuck
