Default And another Canadian, must be the weather

Hi every one.
I am a retired machinist, so that means that my work week has gone from 5 days a week to 7 and a whole new boss, but retirement is great.
A project I took on 15 years ago was a drop in metal work program after school in the local high school. We cover all areas of working with metal from machining, welding, casting, repairing small engines and large engines. I have been very lucky to be able to work with 6 willing instructors who also believe that we have to pass on our skills to younger people before they are lost (students/instructors).
Part of joining this web site was to find more and different projects for my students.
Thanks for the great web site, Roy

Roy, welcome to the site. Retirement is tough because you don't get any more days off. Hope the site is useful and helps you find what you are looking for to help the students. If you have question just ask and someone will try to help you. Thanks for joining us.

Welcome to the site Roy. Its a good thing to pass on skills, so little metalwork is taught in the schools now here in the UK its a joke. The schools all sold off their machines and equipment years ago. I teach part time at a technical college near here and even there the investment in the young is not enough.
