Default Aspiring Metal Shaper

Hi,

My Name is Benjamin Murphy, though, generally I just go by Murphy or Murph. I live in Gurnee, Illinois about 40 miles north of chicago. I am joining this forum as I currently work as a welder for a hot rod shop here in Illinois and would like to expand my knowledge of sheet metal and metal shaping. I have a BASIC understanding of the tooling and skills, but lack experience and "technical jargon." I have learned that often the best way to learn is to find an old guy willing to share, and if that isn't practical, forums are great sources of knowledge. I'm here to learn and I will probably ask idiotic questions, so please bear with me.

Regards,
Murph

Welcome aboard Murph, there are a lot of old guys willing to share here, ( perhaps more than a few that aren't all that old ) and you may find they will ask you a fair number of questions too. Are you working on something special or just looking to learn?
