Post Dave from Wiltshire England

Hi
My name is Dave. I want to learn more and more about restoration and panel making, thought it would be great to join you all here.
Started out as an engineer, but was really more interested in cars, so finished training, then did a very good six months government training course as a panel beater. Intensive Proper training in panel beating, lead loading etc.
Worked for a few companies, then ran my own bodyshop for 23 years, often included very high quality work on classics, loved doing those.
Sold the bodyshop and was then a full time sports photographer for 10 years, was always into photography from about age 10, Really enjoyed that.
But then Got back to the what i really love really high quallity bodywork and paintwork, so i now mainly work on vintage and classics.
I went on one panel making course a few years ago, it was very good, but was not really advanced enough for me and only got into a bit of wheeling wheeling on the last day.
I am planning to do another more in depth course very soon.
