Are you tired of paying high energy costs to heat your shop every winter? Have you considered relocating your business to sunny Ocala, Florida? My FL shop’s monthly energy cost is less than $100 ($0 cost for water and sewer with well and septic on property).
The shop (2376 sq ft, zoned B4 commercial on 1.38 fenced acres) is located in a rapidly growing area (northwest of the Villages and Disney) with low hurricane risks. Before I list the property with a real estate broker, I thought I would ask if an AllMetalshaping forum member might be interested? We all know the cost of everything (energy, mortgages, materials, etc) is up big time. To help offset that inflation, I’m offering fellow metalshapers a 30% price discount off the appraised value. Building and land were professionally appraised Oct 10, 2023 for $503,000. Shop equipment was valued at $65,000. Total value of $568,000. Deduct $171,000 (30% discount) and the price is $397,000 for the land, bldg and equipment. This discounted offer to Allmetalshapers is valid for 30 days (until Nov 14, 2023). After Nov 14 the land and bldg will be listed with a real estate broker and the equipment will then be offered as a package. SERIOUSLY interested metalshapers wanting more info are welcome to send me a private email at: galtsgulch2@bellsouth.net I will gladly email you photos, equipment list, etc. (That’s easier for me than posting photos on the AllMetalshaping forum). Keep on hammering, wheeling and welding! ![]() Last edited by john galt; 11-14-2023 at 04:50 AM. |

Thank you Marc for your post.
Not wanting to wander too much from the intent of the original post: but I suspect Scoob has read Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand (1957) and just outed my AllMetalshaping moniker. ![]() |

FYI, I have been in this property a couple times. It is very nice and everything John says is correct.
I have dealt with John on several projects over the years and can attest to his honesty and integrity. And he is a hell of a restorer too. I was asked to shape some panels for one of his projects and will be posting photos as soon as I get some time.

Kerry:
Thank you for the positive post - it's much appreciated. My first restoration project was in 1963. 60 years later, it's a difficult decision to move on from having a shop/equipment. Lots of good memories about the cars and the owners. ![]() |
