Looks good Pugsy, those grilles pretty much look like they belong there. I'm looking forard to see what you come up with for stainless inserts to go in those openings.

Thanks Guys.

It may be a bit too much of copycat but I like to go with a sure thing.

I'm taking different parts of other cars I like and building them into my rod.

Not to worry Pugsy, as long as factory Willy's grilles won't fit in the openings you make, your car will still be an original!

Let's see, we've got Chrysler, Ford, and Willies in the mix. What are you going to call this car when it's finished?

Actually, the main ingredients are Chrysler, Ford running gear and GM powerplant.

I was thinking of calling it "The Big Three''.

So, doing some work on the front I discovered a huge low spot.
I marked off two reference marks on either side of center.

I then checked the first mark:

I moved the contour gage to the passenger side.
I'll have to see if I've actually learned anything now.
I will work it slowly on dolly to raise it up...I think.

What a mess.

I had a lot af material to move and tapping on dolly and then on a shot bag to bring it out really messed things up.

It actually worked after a million or so hammer blows.......

But I was having a hard time keeping things in arrangement so I though I should cut out a grill opening to take off some pressure............

Thanks for looking,

I started the trim for the opening to help hold things in place.
Cheated with a little bit of heat in the corner.

A bunch of shrinking and stretching and starting to take shape.......

And a little more heat....

And finally, I'm not sure if the car has a happy grin or if its laughing at me for the the things to come......

Thanks for gawkin,
