I added 4 body mount brackets and started the kick up over the rear axle.

A piece of glass is your best friend doing a project like this. Easy to check alignment of parts.

I don't understand what the sheet of glass is used for. Could you explain?

Glass is a perfect thing for checking if two tubes are parallel.
I place the glass across the frame anywhere and it shouldn't rock.
Keep in mind that glass does not twist. It remains flat and rocks when the tubes are not parellel with each other.
Of course everything must be square corner to corner as well.

I got the car pushed outside to check the ride height and took a few pics while it was out there.

Hi Pugsy, It has been nice watching your car grow from where you were at at Oblong in the fall. Seeing the whole body was nice also to see the complete look. Myself I would also have to get the hacksaw into the window openings and drop that top a little. I am like you and love cutting things up. Thanks for all of your pictures on your project. Dutch

Thanks Dutch.

Yep, that roof has got to come down for sure.
Can't wait to get the frame done so I can go back to the metal work.

The car looks cool Pugsy. This is the first time I've seen a picture of the whole car outside the shop, and I can now see your whole vision of what you want it to be.

I think that car is going to look really sharp when you're done, I can't wait to see the surprises that lie ahead. That's some clever thinking you've been doing, and kinda gutsy too, I don't think I would have had the nerve to take on a project like that!

Sometimes it's difficult to remember that you hammered down your first tuck over here less than two years ago. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Ken.

I haven't been able to see what it looks like either until I rolled it out the other day.
In the garage , I could only see a bit at a time.
I was really pleased when I got it out and set the two front wheels in place. Mags always help any car look good.

Thanks Chaz.

I'm with both of you on this.
I have the rear window intact so I will need to cut out the whole back window frame and then chop the top.
I will reuse the back frame and glass as its curved.

I used the "Paint" program to move stuff around. This will help with the actual chop later. Disregard the part where I tried in vain to color in the gap.
