Post Hello Everybody

Hello! This is Alex from Pune,India. I am 29 yrs of age and come from an engineering background (Executive-Production) with specialisation in various materials & its manufacturing processes. But metals have eluded me for a while now. I am deeply interested in metals and wish to pursue a career in automotive sector(bike n car modifications). This concept of modifications is still in an infant stage in India. Metal shaping needs to be taken to newer heights here, which is absolute esential in this field. I have started my research and i am already finding this website of immense help. I have learned few concepts in metal shaping & fabrication using various tools and welding to make bike gas tanks & fenders. But i have a long way to go................

I would be really grateful to my dear fellow metal shapers in this forum to help me upgrade my knowledge in metal shaping.

Hi Alex, Welcome to the site. I know there are many craftsmen in India. I have seen some work done there and considering the tools and facilities available its quite amazing.
