Northern California Sierras
Just doing my diligence by following the forum rules. - no need to reply or say hello, will see you all in the forums!
I live in the nothern sierras, 42 years old professionally work in Visual Effects for Hollywood movies (digital vfx, not practical) and have a bunch of old muscle cars and some old bikes. Do lots of tinkering and all my own work, paint, body, fabrication, machining. My next endeavor is to take on metal shaping at an elevated level. I joined up here hoping to find some info on some tools im looking at buying, a specific English wheel and want to get the lowdown on some of the planishing hammers out there. I know this stuff is not cheap but im here to stay so im willing to spend the money for something ill have for life. My firs goal is to build a little 33/34 ford coupe from aluminum - quite the undertaking, but I know I can do it - Ignorance sure is bliss. Looking forward to learning from you all thanks in advance

Consider visiting Kent "The Tinman" White, who has a place North of Nevada City.
Can't think of a more comprehensive resource in a single spot. Might also consider his "version" of a planishing hammer. It will really expand your capabilities. I've used one to form a Wheel well liner for a Rolls Royce. Very impressive
