That's it! The grill will make it or break it. I'm seeing a Lincoln Zepher like thing. Make sure you get it outside so you can see it at a distance. It's really hard to 'see' it up close. At least it is for me.

Here's a pic of the headlight. Not sure if the angle's right though.

I put a couple of Willys pics in my album: http://www.allmetalshaping.com/album.php?albumid=9

Thinking of making up a split grill similar to the WILLYS.

Thanks,

your hood, to me, looks like a late 30's willeys. I think a 1938
When you finish your car you are going to have people scratching their head wondering what year willies that is,
Then you'll have someone say " I had one JUST like it years ago"

Hey Pugsy,

The photoshopped hood leaning back seems to look better. With the rest of the front end leaning back the forward lean of the stock hood line is really exagerated.

Hi Pugsy,

I managed to google up some 37 Ford headlights. I didn't realize you would be able to come up with a picture so fast, I guess I was photoshopping in these lights I found while you were taking the picture.

Now I'll go looking for some Willy's grilles with a perfect angle shot.

Ken

Here it is with a 41 Willys grille, not sure I got the angles quite right. Still looking for a 1940 Willys picture from a favorable angle with a two piece grille.

Those were my exact thoughts after I saw the similarity between my car and a Willys.
