Bravo!
You've achieved a superbly-balanced and detailed stunner.

Thanks Kent. I always appreciate input from a master. Negative or positive.

Must be nice to see some progress and the list getting shorter.

This thing takes my breath away every time I see it. I love hearing about all the details, it really puts it into perspective the amount of work that goes into something of this caliber.

Raymond put a background behind one of the shots I sent him. The guy's got crazy skills.

I had some problems with the side windows. I was working on getting them to operate smoothly and seal completely and in the process I cracked the passenger side glass. RATS!

I kept the templates so I took one to the glass guy and had him make me a new one. It took him a few weeks to get around to it but I finally got it back.
I made up a new edge trim and installed that, then installed the window and adjusted it. It runs up and down smoothly now.

I went through the whole door and made sure everything was right and tight, then installed the interior trim panel hopefully for the last time. That lever you see on the lower front corner below the speaker is the actuator for the mechanical door lock. Flip it forward to lock, back to open.

Now it's on to the other side. I think I'll be a little more careful with this one.

Jack. I admire your work for a really great result. At first I didn't understand the door, only after a while did I understand that it would open against the direction of travel ......

But I have a little idea. For my tired BMW 5 station wagon, I have an electric lock at the back door. Even if you close the door firmly, the lock will lock in position and only then will it electrically complete the door. Maybe it was created for the same reason when the window broke on the first models.
I have seen these locks on the doors of the BMW 7 series. The driver closes the door very hard, the door kontakt softly in position and the lock itself completes do closing.
Small detail.
